Alessandra Spranzi and John Coplans at Settantaventidue, Milan

From June 25th 2026 to September 10th 2026
P420 is pleased to announce a group exibition taking place at Settantaventidue in Milan.
For Alessandra Spranzi, photography and video are, first and foremost, ways of seeing and reimagining the world. Rather than privileging technique, her focus is on the elementary gestures of the photographic act – looking, enlarging, reducing, reproducing, recomposing – understood as actions through which the image is continuously analyzed, displaced, and rewritten. These processes generate a body of work in which fragments, objects, and memories are staged, and where the familiar is subtly destabilized by shifts and suspensions of meaning.
The solo exhibition at the Setantaventidue gallery brings together a selection of Coplans' most significant photographic works alongside a rare group of pieces created using the Xerox technique. Rarely exhibited, these experimental works reveal a lesser-known aspect of the artist's practice, expanding his investigation into the body, reproduction, and image-making.
